# Latency

> Latency is an early-warning monitoring platform for websites, APIs, and the third-party services they depend on. It reconciles real endpoint probes, official status pages, and crowd reports into one verdict, and alerts you when something you run or rely on goes down, often before the provider's status page says so.

Latency is built by Latency Labs LLC (United States). The web console is at https://console.latency.app and the public API is at https://ws.latency.app.

## What it does

- Monitors: HTTP(S), TCP, and TLS certificate checks with declarative alert rules (status codes, latency thresholds and percentiles, certificate expiry, response content) and multi-region confirmation.
- Dependency monitoring: pick the providers you rely on (for example Stripe, AWS, GitHub, Cloudflare, OpenAI) from a status catalog of 50+ services. Latency probes their real endpoints and reconciles them with their official status pages, so you get an early warning even while their page still reads operational.
- Latency SRE: an on-demand diagnosis of any domain (DNS, TCP, TLS, HTTP, hosting infrastructure, status page, third-party dependencies) with a plain-language verdict. Free and public on https://latency.app/inspect/{domain}.
- Alerts: email, webhook, Slack, Discord, and SMS. You are alerted when an incident opens and when it recovers, not on every blip.
- Teams: namespaces to separate projects or clients, roles, invites, audit log, API keys.
- Telemetry (beta): ingest logs, traces, and events and query them in the console.
- Native iOS app: ping, traceroute, and reachability with a live map, plus trending incidents. Free, no account needed.

## Pricing

- Free: 1 monitor, email alerts, 60-second checks.
- Hobby: $9/month. 5 monitors, 15-second checks, email and webhook alerts.
- Pro: $19/month. 25 monitors, 15-second checks, every alert channel including SMS, up to 10 teammates.
- Team: $79/month. 200 monitors, 15-second checks, 10 namespaces, up to 50 teammates.
- Founders: $299 once. Everything in Pro for the life of the product, limited to the first 50 buyers.
- Annual billing saves two months. The first subscription includes a 14-day trial.
